RP= Red Plum coupons
SS= Smart Source coupons
Giant Eagle doubles coupons. When you see 0.75*2=$1.50, this means that the coupon is for 75 cents off and when it doubles it will take off $1.50. You can double a coupon UP TO 99 cents in value. When doubled, the most you would get is $1.98. 99 cent coupons are rare - a more common coupon value is 75 cents, which will double to $1.50.
Some types of coupons will not double- these are the "blinkies" you pull off the shelves, any coupon that GE issues (register printouts, direct mailers, etc) Most of the manufacturer coupons you clip out of the newspaper WILL double (even if they say "Do not double").
Giant Eagle's closed Christmas Day, also, the ad is running Saturday to Friday, which is different than normal.
