Looting of CVS tonight (1/04/10 at 1AM)

I decided I'm going to track ALL of my spending and saving for 2010.  I'll post results every now and then.

Tonight I got $31 of stuff and paid $7 after taxes.
I had:
$5 off $25 coupon for CVS emailed to me
$6 worth of ECB
$2 off $10 CVS band items (they ALSO have a buy 1 get 1 50% off sale as well.)
$3 off Glade printed at the coupon printer
20 cents off Irish Spring Soap (x3)
25 cents off Dawn soap
$1 off CVS brand candy when you buy 2
B1G1F Nivea Lip balm  ($2.99 value)
$2 off All laundry detergent

I bought:
2 CVS candy $1 each,- $1 off coupon + B1G1 50% off paid 50 cents for 2, also used as part of the $2/10 coupon for CVS brand items
2 4pks of CVS brand TP  B1G1 50% off (on sale for $2.79- paid $4.20 for both)
1 CVS brand Cold medicine ($3.99)
12 pk of Aquafina water $2.49 (get $1 ECB back)
1 Glade scented candle ($3.29- paid 29 cents for it after $3 coupon)
1 All 32 load detergent sale price $3.99 (paid $1.99 after $2 coupon)
2 Nivea cherry lip balms ($2.99 each, B1G1F coupon used- plus when you buy $10 of Nivea, you get $5 ECB- these counted towards that)
3 Irish Spring 2 pks of soap (99 cents each, 20 cents off coupons)
1 Palmolive dish washing detergent (sale price 99 cents. 25 cents off coupon)

If I had brought a calculator with me, I'd have spent way less than $7.  I'd have ditched the soap and the detergent and I would've been closer to only $3 out of pocket.  I find trying to hit $25 to be difficult.  I had to hit $10 of CVS items and $15 in other merchandise and stay as close to $25 as possible and utilize all of the coupons to their max.

Yes, I'm whining that spending $7 was "too high" for $31 of merchandise.  I am, after all, a cheapskate.  :)
